"I hope I never have to see you again" — that's what Melissa told me when I picked up a knee scooter after her two week-rental.

We both laughed 2 seconds after. We just both wanted to never get injured again and needing a mobility device like knee scooter. Her experience with Mend Mobility was "amazing".

 

When Melissa sprained her ankle, she had to wait to find out what her recovery would look like. She waited for her doctor’s advice. When her doctor finally said she could use a mobility device, she knew she needed something that would help her stay active and keep up with her daily routine.

The Situation

After getting a list of mobility device providers from South Health Hospital, Melissa started looking for the right one. She went down the list but chose none of them, because:

• nobody delivered on weekends
• they charged cleaning or delivery fees
• the prices were quite high

She went on Google and found Mend Mobility and chose to go with us for three main reasons: we were the only ones who could deliver on weekends, we had good prices, and our reviews were great.

Since her recovery was expected to be short, Melissa chose our economy knee scooter. The smaller wheels worked well for flat, indoor surfaces, and it fit her budget. But because she likes to spend time outside, she later thought an all-terrain scooter might have been better for handling gravel and grass during her walks.

The Transformation
